2013 VIKING GOLF CLASSIC

The 27^th Annual Viking Golf Classic will be held June 6 & 7 at the Sudden Valley Golf & Country Club.  This event is WWU Athletics' longest running fundraising event and is held each spring to raise scholarship funds and program support for Western Washington University student-athletes.  There are four divisions, based on average team handicap.  Participants include WWU coaches, administration, alumni and supporters from the local business community.

The tournament offers a Thursday practice round followed by a cocktail party & deli buffet.  Rounding out the Thursday evening festivities will be a golfing horse race with up to eighty participants from the tournament.

On Friday, the tournament offers a continental breakfast, complementary practice balls, tee prizes for all participants, numerous on-course competitions, lunch "at the turn" and dinner at the awards banquet.

The Viking Golf Classic is one of the most popular tournaments in Whatcom County.  The format is a 5-person scramble.  Entry fee is $200 per person.

7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.            Continental breakfast 

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.            Tournament (shotgun start)

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.            Awards banquet (Sudden Valley Barn)
