Western Washington University's Katie Reichert (Jr., Longview/Kelso) had an NCAA Division II provisional national qualifying mark of 139-2 to win the women's javelin at the Pacific Lutheran University Invitational Track and Field meet on Saturday at the PLU campus track.
The only other Viking event winner was Cody McCranie (So., Auburn) in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:56.98.
WWU's Kali Klotz-Brooks (So., Cheney) placed second in the women's 1,500 (4:52.49) as did Logan Giese (Fr., Spokane/Central Valley) in the men's 1,500 (4:00.81).
Finishing 2-3-4 for the Vikings in the women's 5,000 were Taylor Guenther (So., Vancouver/Prairie) (18:39.63), Lillianna Stelling (Fr., Langley/South Whidbey) (18:40.41) and Haley O'Connor (Jr., Sammamish/Eastlake) (18:41.22).
John Haskin (Fr., Bainbridge) was third in the men's javelin with a mark of 162-5.
WWU next competes in the University of Oregon Preview on March 22.
