Anderson and Bruce named all-tournament at SPU Tip-Off Classic

SEATTLE, Wash. - Two Western Washington University men's basketball players, guard Morris Anderson (Sr., Federal Way) and forward Zach Bruce (Sr., Oceanside, CA), were named to the Seattle Pacific University Tip-Off Classic All-Tournament team. The Vikings tied for the tourney title held Friday and Saturday, winning both games. They defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, 72-58, and were victorious over Dominican CA, 87-72. Anderson scored 35 points, 20 versus Dominican, and had 14 rebounds, 13 assists, six steals and three blocked shots in the two games. Bruce had a double-double against Dominican with 18 points and 11 rebounds, and finished with 32 points on 66.7 percent field-goal shooting (14-of-21) and 16 rebounds. Western, off to a 5-1 start, is working on a four-game winning streak. The Vikings host Academy of Art on Friday (7 p.m.) and Grand Canyon on Saturday (7 p.m.) in the 11th WWU Chuck Randall Thanksgiving Classic.
