BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University's Jack Kelly has been named the Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for Oct. 7-13.

Kelly, a redshirt freshman from Snoqualmie (graduate of Mount Si High School), made his debut as a member of the Vikings' top five and tied for 15th place in the medalist standings at the Chico State Invitational.

Kelly opened with a 2-under par 70 and finished with two rounds of 75 for a 54-hole total of 220. That helped WWU place third among a field of 16 teams.

The Vikings are competing at the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational on Oct. 22-23.
