BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Kyle Lindor, a senior at Woodinville High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play men's golf at Western Washington University beginning in the fall of 2012. Making that announcement was Viking coach Steve Card.

Lindor was the KingCo 4A titlist this fall, winning by four strokes, and has qualified for the state championship in May.

"Kyle is a fine young player who has a bright future at Western," said Card.

Lindor, the school's team captain and MVP for the second straight year, was a first-team all-KingCo League pick. He received honorable mention as a junior and was a second-team choice as a sophomore.

Lindor was voted Woodinville's Rookie of the Year as a freshman on a team that went undefeated and won the KingCo championship.

Lindor is a distant relative of WWU Athletics Hall of Fame golfer Claudia Lindor.
