Justin Moore named Capital One Academic District first-team all-star

BELLINGHAM, Wash, - Western Washington University men's soccer forward Justin Moore has been named a Capital One Academic Division II District 8 first-team all-star. First-team academic all-district honorees advance to the Academic All-America Team ballot where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced later this month. District 8 is made up of the California Collegiate Athletic Association, Great Northwest Athletic Conference and Pacific West Conference. Moore, a senior from Port Orchard (graduate of South Kitsap High School), is a Cellular and Molecular Biology major with a 3.62 grade point average (4.0 scale). Moore, a four-year letter winner, has scored 14 points this season with seven goals. The Vikings, who are 8-7-2 overall and 6-5-2 in GNAC action, have lost just once in their last six games and are working on a three-game winning streak. They end their season Sunday (3 p.m.), Nov. 4, at nationally No.3-ranked and three-time GNAC champion Simon Fraser.
