Western men No.2 and women No.3 in this week's NCAA II West Region ratings

WWU maintains No.2 rating in West Regional rating
Seattle Pacific and Western Washington University maintained their No.1 and No.2 rankings in this week's NCAA Division II West Region men's basketball poll released Wednesday.
The Falcons can clinch a tie for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title and be the first team to claim a regional berth with a win Thursday at Royal Brougham Pavilion against Central Washington.
The Wildcats are ranked seventh and Alaska Anchorage, which is ranked ninth, also have the opportunity to qualify for the playoffs especially if No. 8 Cal State San Bernardino, 10th ranked Cal State Dominguez or unranked Hawaii Pacific do not win automatic berths.
The five highest ranked teams will join the California Collegiate Athletic Association post-season tournament champion and the Pacific West Conference and GNAC regular-season champions in the playoffs.
Currently, unranked Hawaii Pacific (10-2) and fifth-ranked Dixie State (10-2) are tied for the PacWest lead one-half game ahead of sixth-ranked BYU-Hawaii (9-2).
West Region - 1. Seattle Pacific (19-3), 2. Western Washington (19-5), 3. Cal Poly Pomona (16-4), 4. Humboldt State (19-5), 5. Dixie State (16-5), 6. BYU-Hawaii (14-4), 7. Central Washington (13-6), 8. CSU San Bernardino (15-5), 9. Alaska Anchorage (10-6), 10. Cal State Dominguez Hills (14-9). Note : Records are against Division II opponents.
WWU drops to third in West Region Poll
Western Washington University dropped to No.3 and Seattle Pacific moved up to No.2 in this week's NCAA Division II West Region women's basketball poll released Wednesday.
UC San Diego, which lost to No.8 Cal State Monterey Bay last week, held on to the top spot. Seattle Pacific jumped over Western after beating the Vikings last Saturday at Royal Brougham Pavilion.
Meanwhile, Alaska Anchorage and Northwest Nazarene held on to the No.4 and No.5 positions.
With two weeks left in the regular-season, all four Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams are in good position to qualify for the NCAA playoffs.
The eight-team tournament will feature the GNAC and Pacific West Conference regular-season champions and the California Collegiate Athletic Association post-season tournament champion along with the next five highest ranked teams.
Hawaii Pacific currently leads the PacWest race with a 11-1 record, one game ahead of Grand Canyon (10-2) and two ahead of Dixie State (9-3) and Notre Dame de Namur (10-4).
