Four Vikings honored as CRCA National Scholar Athletes

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Four members of the Western Washington University women's rowing team have been named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athletes.

The Viking honorees include Catrina Cuadra (Sr., Lake Stevens), Christine Henie (Sr., Chugiak, AK), Emily Little (So., Port Angeles) and Audra Massey (Jr., Albuquerque, NM).

Caudra, Henie and Massey were all honored for the second straight year.

All four will be competing for WWU at the NCAA Division II National Championships this weekend at Indianapolis, Ind. Cuadra, Henie and Marine are in the Vikings' varsity eight shell, and Massey is in the varsity four.

Henie is an art major with a 3.62 grade point average (4.0 scale). Cuadra, who is a history/anthropology major, has a 3.60 GPA as does Massey, a kinesiology major. Little, a transfer from Peninsula CC, is a kinesiology major with a 3.58 GPA.
