Won eighth Division II National Championship with a one-point victory over Central Oklahoma at the NCAA Championships held May 26-28 on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, NJ…scored 17 team points in the competition, with 8 coming from the national-champion Fours and 9 from the second-place Eights, earning a one-point victory over Central Oklahoma (16 points)…finished with the national No. 1 ranking for the ninth time in program history…held the top spot in seven of eight regular-season CRCA/US Rowing Division II national polls after opening the season No. 3 in the preseason rankings…have advanced to the NCAA Championships in 16 of 17 seasons of the event…juniors Chloe Burns and Karisa Stapp were named First Team Pocock/CRCA Division II All-Americans, the 21st and 22nd to earn the award in program history…10th time a pair of Vikings have earned First Team All-America honors in the same season and first since 2013…19th-year head coach John Fuchs was named the CRCA Division II Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career, and also repeated as the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Coach DII/DIII Coach of the Year…the Vikings were also named the CRCA Division II Staff of the Year recognizing the work of assistant coach Courtney Moeller and the rowing support staff…WWU won the Team Efficiency Trophy at the WIRA Championships with the Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+ and Novice 4+ all taking home gold from the annual regatta on Lake Natoma…also won gold in the Eights and Fours at the San Diego Crew Classic April 1-2 on Mission Bay… won 24 of 32 races during the season…four student-athletes were named CRCA Scholar Athletes for holding a cumulative GPA over 3.5 (Emily Bartlett, Madison Moelhman, Karisa Stapp, Molly Ware)…seniors Molly Ware and Kia Parrish-Haim served as team captains.
