FINDLAY, Ohio - Playing in rainy and chilly conditions, Western Washington University's Kaitlin Parker (Sr., Marysville/Marysville-Pilchuck) shot a final-round 83 and finished in a six-way tie for 15th place at the NCAA Division II National Women's Golf Championships which ended Saturday at the 6,219-yard Findlay Country Club.

Parker, who entered the day eighth in medalist play, finished with a 72-hole score of 25-over par 313. She shot an opening-round 76 on Wednesday and posted rounds of 75 and 79 on Friday after bad weather Thursday postponed play.

At one point late in second-round action Friday, Parker was tied for second, just one stroke behind the leader. She was in a third-place tie following that round and all alone in third with four holes to go in the third round.

Last year, Parker tied for 29th at nationals.

Lyndsay McBride from Indianapolis took the individual title at 10-over 298 (77) with Nova Southeastern's Sandra Changkija second at 12-over 300 (75).

Nova Southeastern (307=1,230) won the team championship by 15 strokes over runner-up Grand Valley State (309=1,245) in the 12-team field.

Parker tied for fifth place at the NCAA II West Super Regional, the Vikings also finishing fifth as a team.

During the regular season, Parker averaged 77.6 strokes per round, placing among the top three in five tournaments with two firsts, two seconds and one third.
