SANTA ROSA, Calif. -
Western Washington University's Kristen Hansen (So., Spokane/Mead) tied for third place, three shots behind the leader, and the Vikings moved up one spot to finish fourth among 13 teams at the Sonoma State Women's Golf Fall Invitational which ended Tuesday at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club.
It was the fourth top 10 finish in as many outing this season for Hansen, who shot 77 for a 36-hole total of 150. She finished in a three-way tie for third with British Columbia's Casara Hong (73) and Sonoma State's Abby Marina (75).
Taking medalist honors at 3-over par 147 (74-73) was Andrea Castellanos of Cal State East Bay. She was a two-stroke winner over St. Edward's Haley Haught (75-74).
Cal Baptist (317), ranked No.14 nationally, held on to win by four shots over runner-up British Columbia (307), 614 to 618. St. Edward's (308) finished third at 624, and the Vikings were fourth at 626 (314).
WWU's Anna Bourland (Jr., Bainbridge) tied for 12th at 154 (77), Brooke Branigan (Fr., Bellingham) tied for 27th at 160 (77), Audrey Orem (Fr., Bellingham) tied for 35th at 162 (83) and Emily Koryto (So., East Lansing, MI) tied for 52nd at 168 (85).
The Sonoma State tournament completed the fall portion of WWU's schedule.
