Three Vikings named GNAC Academic all-stars

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University's Claire Rachor, Alexandria Taylor and Brittany Wilcox were named to the 2011-12 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic all-conference women's golf team announced today.

It is the third straight year that Taylor, a senior from Sammamish (graduate of Eastlake High School), has been selected. A mathematics major, she led the GNAC squad with a 3.78 (4.0 scale) grade point average.

A four-year letter winner, Taylor has a 79.3 scoring average.

Rachor, a junior from Bellingham (graduate of Bellingham High School) who was picked for the second time, is a Spanish major with a 3.27 GPA. She leads the team with a 77.4 average.

Wilcox, a senior from Spokane (graduate of Mead High School), is a kinesiology major with a 3.22 GPA.
