BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University golfer Alexandria Taylor has been named to the Capital One/College Sports Information Directors of America Academic/NCAA II District 8 women's at-large team.
The all-district honorees advance to the Academic All-America Team ballot where All-America honorees will be selected later this month. District 8 is made up of schools in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, Great Northwest Athletic Conference and Pacific West Conference.
Taylor, a senior from Sammamish (graduate of Eastlake High School), is a mathematics major with a 3.78 grade point average (4.0 scale).
Posting a 79.2 scoring average, Taylor was a first-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-star and a three-time GNAC academic honoree. She helped the Vikings win a second straight league title in 2012, being runner-up in medalist play.
Taylor was a four-year letter winner at WWU.
