BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University's Kara Zitzman has been named Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6.

Zitzman, a senior from Woodinville (graduate of Redmond High School), had the highest finish by a conference golfer at the Saint Martin's Invitational on Friday and Saturday, placing seventh with a 36-hole score of 161.

Zitzman helped WWU to a third-place finish, just three shots behind runner-up British Columbia.

The Vikings are competing in their own WWU Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
