BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington is ranked seventh in the inaugural NCAA Division II West Regional women's soccer poll of the 2009 season.

The poll will eventually determine which three at-large teams join the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, California Collegiate Athletic Association and Pacific West Conference regular-season champions in the six-team playoffs.

With no PacWest team ranked in the Top 10, it will likely take at least a top five ranking in order to secure an at-large berth.

Two other GNAC teams in the Top 10 are top-ranked Seattle Pacific, which is rated fifth in this week's NSCAA national poll and has won the last three regional titles, and No.10 Montana State Billings. They join seven teams from the CCAA.

NCAA Division West Regional - 1. Seattle Pacific; 2. Cal State L.A.; 3 Chico State; 4. UC San Diego; 5. Cal State San Bernardino; 6.. Humboldt State; 7. Wetsern Washington; 8. Cal State Dominguez Hills; 9. Cal Poly Pomona; 10. Montana State Billings.
