Rain cancels WWU doubleheader at Chaminade

HONOLULU, Hawaii - The softball doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday between Western Washington University and Chaminade University has been cancelled because of unplayable field conditions.

The Vikings also had a twinbill with Hawaii Pacific cancelled on Monday. They swept BYU Hawaii, 5-1 and 6-0, on Saturday; and split with Hawaii Hilo, winning 6-2 and losing 9-4, on Sunday.

WWU next travels to Las Vegas to compete in the Desert Stinger this weekend.

The Vikings open Friday against Cal State Dominguez Hills (11:30 a.m.) and Black Hills (2 p.m.). On Saturday, they play Colorado Mines (11:30 a.m.) and Adams State (4:30 p.m.), and on Sunday meet Colorado State Pueblo (11:30 a.m.).
