BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University shortstop Caitlin Dotlich has been named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for March 1-7.

A junior from Sedro-Woolley (graduate of Burlington-Edison High School), Dotlich hit .643 (9-for-14), including a pair of doubles and a triple, in leading the Vikings to a four-game sweep at Northwest Nazarene.

Dotlich drove in six runs, including key ones in three of the four victories.

On the season, Dotlich is batting .478 (11-for-23).

Western, 5-3, entertains arch-rival Central Washington University on Saturday (1 p.m.) and Sunday (12 noon) at the Viking Softball Field.
