BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Ranked seventh nationally in NCAA Division II with a .362 batting average, Western Washington University travels to Montana State University Billings for a pair of Great Northwest Athletic Conference softball doubleheaders on Saturday (1 p.m. MT) and Sunday (12 noon MT).

The Vikings are 11-6 overall and fourth in the GNAC standings at 3-3. MSUB, which has not played a home game this season, is 7-10 overall and fifth in the conference at 2-6.

WWU had a Sunday doubleheader with league-leading Western Oregon postponed because of rain after splitting a twinbill with defending GNAC champion Saint Martin's last Saturday. The Vikings did not have a hit in generating the only run of a 1-0 win in the first game, then gave up six unearned runs in the final inning of a 7-3 loss in the second contest.

Jenna DeRosier (Sr., Kelso) (5-2) scattered seven hits in pitching the shutout for WWU. That earned her GNAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Besides being ranked seven nationally in hitting, WWU is 17th in slugging percentage at .523 and 20th in scoring at 6.71.

Alexie Levin (So., Everett) ranks 12th nationally in runs batted in at 1.47. She also is 17th with a .519 batting average, 23rd in on-base percentage at .574 and 30th in slugging percentage at .889.

Autumn Isaacson (Jr., Lake Stevens) ranks seventh in stolen bases at 1.00 and 28th in runs scored at 1.18. Isaacson, a transfer from Bellevue CC, has reached base in all 17 games this season.
