BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University outside hitter Kelsey Moore has been named the Red Lion/Great Northwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

Moore, a junior from Bellevue (graduate of Newport High School), had 19 kills,12 of them in a four-game victory at Central Washington last Thursday, as the Vikings swept a crucial two-match road trip. They defeated Northwest Nazarene in three games Saturday.

Those victories kept WWU tied in the loss column with first-place Alaska Anchorage.

Moore, who had just four errors in the seven games, is averaging 2.87 kills per game and 0.51 blocks this season for WWU.

The Vikings, 17-3 overall and ranked No.10 in last week's American Volleyball Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll, are home for two GNAC matches, playing host to Western Oregon on Thursday, Nov. 7 (7 p.m.), and Saint Martin's on Saturday, Nov. 9 (7 p.m.).
